My Life Journey

To all my friends who want to know. This time I will write how it challenged my academics and tried to influence my whole life. When I was in school 6 years old I had pain in ankle of my right foot. We were travelling from our village to Peshawar that day. When we reached Peshawar, my uncle who is Orthopaedic Surgeon said it seems peripheral neuropathy. My one feet size was decreasing than other one. My Paediatric doctor was also giving me medicines for it. His recommendation was not to operate unless I am 18. When I was in class 3 I underwent a surgery for nerve biopsy. When I was in class 4 I did an EMG test in CMH Rawalpindi, there they revealed that my hands too are affected. They suggested some exercises for it.

Along with all that I was getting AFOs and physiotherapy from a workshop of KTH under kind supervision of Dr Bakht Sarwar. In early 90s that org was mainly treating war affected patients from Afghanistan. The pain was to put orthosis in my shoes for school. And the difficulty of not fitting of shoes while buying new ones. I was a stubborn child I gave a lot of tough time to my parents. I visited a doctor who was on visit to Pakistan from USA, he said the only solution is physiotherapy and orthosis. He also said that lack of oxygen during birth can cause this problem. Once we visited a doctor from UNICEF, he said she might be the only child suffering from this disease in the whole KPK.

I used to have problem in breathing since I was in class 3. In class 10 I did dns surgery to ease my breathing problem.
In first year in college I performed well in my academics. I was too enthusiastic to keep up the work in second year as well. That days a doctor from Germany was on visit to Al-Khidmat Hospital for treatment of liperosy and polio patients. He suggested tendon transfer in my feet so that I may not need afos to walk. My bad luck it disturbed my rhythm of my studies and I have to get leave of 6 weeks from my college. On October 3 2003 I was operated on and had to take bed of 6 weeks. I joined back college just few days before detention exam. In that I got 70% and some of my friends asked how I studied and I was like no idea how it worked, because I was studying from notes and books at my own. Later just before the final exam 15 days before it on 28 April 2004 I went through my tendon transfer in my right foot. The process of surgery or medications made me pale and I used to go for papers on wheelchair. Two of the visiting examiners tried to encourage me a lot as I was taking exam that way. By grace of Allah I passed that with 10 less numbers than result of first year. I would say a lot of thanks to my aunt who always mentored me, she said don't skip academic year, if you failed you can reappear in the exam.

In October 2004 I got admission in BS computer sciences, I enjoyed a lot the concept based learning and encouragement of teachers. In some scenarios I used to perform on top or second top in questions asked during class, or a brain storming piece of exercise given by teachers. In calculus I used to see applications at the end of each exercise. I was too bad in memorising topics without understanding. I used to study books instead of slides. My final year project was on Visualising Universities on Map of Pakistan inspired from research of Human Computer Interaction Lab University of Maryland USA. On 22 October 2008 I presented it to HEC via video conferencing from UET Peshawar. It was all made possible by kind guidance of my teacher Sir Waheed ur Rehman and kind recommendation of Dr Atta ur Rehman. Just in end of my BS I went to visit Dr Anwar ul Haq from USA. He advised to do EMG test. The result was shocking, it was showing damaging motor and sensory neurons in peripheral nervous system. He also said there is a chance of 5% getting on wheelchair as this disease might increase with time. He said there is no cure found for it yet but with medicines we will try to improve the symptoms.

In 2008 I did internship in Bank Alfalah Islamic. My best experience to learn the business and banking terminology. We worked on Credits, How files are maintained, customer care, foreign trade etc. I wished to get trained and join as bank employee but my seniors over there said that academics might be a good option than it.

In 2009 I got admission in MS in Web Semantics. My aim was Telecom Engineering but my uncle who was in aeronautical engineering in PAF told I shouldn't let this chance go. In future I can get admission in telecom too by skipping the course work already studied. It took my 6 years to complete this degree but it wasn't interesting as I thought. Since Sep 2009 I am in teaching and I am feeling blessed by tremendous energy my students gave me to achieve more and more.

In 2011 I participated in Essay competition by students of Pakistan out of 74 entries mine was selected in top 5 and remained still the 5th one :) I was lucky to achieve it for my province.
In 2012 I joined gik as computer programmer and now it seems I must roam somewhere else.
If it's too long print it in a book =D

Effective and Quality School Learning

I intended to write on effective and quality school learning. It is a diverse topic also the context of country and location counts in it. I went through many educational policies and suggestions in context of school system; what I couldn't found is what we can do to short cut the process of school learning and make it more effective for parents and children. So now I am trying to get a bit insight into the domain and then explore step wise to what can be an effective schooling and education.  Following are some of the questions to give insight into this domain. I myself have been into teaching to University Students for 9 years. What I learnt is when converted into fun learning teaching and learning is an enjoyable and untiring task. Hope after this article I be able to get into the main or core learning that can be achieved at school. So let's read into the the following five aspects: 1. What is Effective Learning and Teaching In Effective Teaching all studen...

Ghani Okhur Dase Gham

English Translation Ghani got a wound No Medicine nor and 'Dam' can heal All the Creation is obvious Except the Sight of the Creator People say it's a Celebration For me it's 'Moharram'! The surroundings are beats and music For me they are vowes, cries and sadness When the life started stretching back So everything stretched back with it Even the sin was not enjoyable as before The sweetness was lost from the tastes of Creations Nothing helped me out Neither the roofs of worship places nor the shades of 'Haram' People say it's Celebration For me it's 'Moharram'! The Life of John Donne | John Donne Biography

Biography: John Donne was an English poet of metaphysical school and cleric in the Church of England. He was born in 1572 into a recusant Roman Catholic family when practice of that religion was illegal in England and died in 1631 at the age of 59. He was the third of six children. His father died in 1576 when he was four. His mother Elizabeth Heywood was the daughter of John Heywood (the playwright) and sister of the Jasper Heywood ( a Jesuit priest and translator). A few months after her husband died, Donne's mother married Dr. John Syminges, a wealthy widower with three children of his own. Donne thus acquired a stepfather. Donne was educated privately. In 1583, at the age of 11, he began studies at Hart Hall, now Hertford College, Oxford. After three years of studies there, Donne was admitted to the University of Cambridge, where he studied for another three years. However, Donne could not obtain a degree from either institution because of his Catholicism, s...
